Flyer Currency System

Overview​

The flyer currency system ensures flyers maintain their skills through regular practice and assessments. The system tracks flight activity and manages currency status for different flyer levels.

Eligibility Requirements​

  • Member must pass Flyer Level 1
  • Excludes Flyer Safety Brief skill

Currency Management​

Daily Cron Process​

  • Runs every day
  • Tracks member flight activity
  • Manages notification and currency status

Flight Activity Tracking​

  1. 150 Days Threshold

    • Member not flown in last 150 days
    • Triggers 1-month notification period

  2. 172 Days Threshold

    • Member not flown in last 172 days
    • Triggers final week notification

  3. 180 Days Threshold

    • Member not flown in last 180 days
    • Member becomes uncurrent
    • Requires currency renewal

Currency Renewal Process​

Checkbox Requirements​

Checkboxes are required for each passed level in the following order:

  1. Level 1

    • Flyer Level 1

  2. Level 2

    • Backflying Level 2
    • OR Formation Level 2

  3. Level 3

    • Static Level 3
    • OR Dynamic Level 3
    • OR Formation Level 3

  4. Level 4

    • Static Level 4
    • OR Dynamic Level 4
    • OR Formation Level 4

  5. Level 5

    • Static Level 5
    • OR Dynamic Level 5

Skill Assignment Rules​

  • Skills can only be requested or assigned to current levels
  • Must maintain currency for each passed level

Display Logic​

  • Chart and logbook show skills/levels as uncurrent based on passed levels
  • Visual indicators for currency status
